Yesterday I got on the bus that would take me to downtown Long Beach where I intern/volunteer at a hospital.
I casually swiped my card and walked on to the bus. I sat down somewhere in the middle of the bus, it was pretty empty. The bus ride to the hospital is about 30 minutes, so I have a lot of time to just sit there and think.
So I started to think about what day it was, and how people like...
I'm still a failure...
Today I had a deep conversation with one of the patients in the hospital. He was an older black man, and I love talking to old black dudes because they have so much wisdom and experience in life.
We talked about what he did in his life and what I’m doing now and what I hope to do.
Whenever I talk to old black dudes about myself it always turns into a conversation about how I’m doing...

Growing Up Part 2
I still feel like a kid.
I feel like everyone around me is so grown-up and mature, but I can’t help but feel like I’m still a little kid. I’m still waiting for that one moment when I know it’s time to grow up, or I’m grown up.
Or maybe it’s more of a gradual process and it’ll happen without me even realizing it.

Barber 1: Hawaii is so overrated. The resort is beautiful, but once you get out of that it's like Oak Park.
Me: hahahaha
Barber 1: Oh, you know what else. If you go there wearing flip flops and white socks they'll think you're an NFL player.
Me: hahahahaha
Barber 2: I don't mean to sound racist, but last time I went a white lady greeted us at the hotel. I was like, this wasn't in the brochure!

No one pisses me off like Grant Napier...
I’ve never liked that man. Ever since I was a little kid I could never stand the guy. The cockiness, the haugtiness, the complete lack of respect…dang…that man is so arrogant…he is one of the few people that will get me mad by just thinking about him.
I like living in SoCal because I don’t have to listen to him when I watch NBA games…man…I’ll delete...
